Spinning Theory is an interactive class on the theory behind spinning wool and other fibers. You’ll learn a brief history of spinning and spinning tools, handle different fibers and learn about their sources, participate in an interactive demonstration of the science behind the craft, and leave with your very own, handmade-by-you yarn! Think of this class as the class you take BEFORE your first spinning class - perfect for beginners, but educational to those who have already started on the drop spindle and want to learn a little more about the “why” behind the “how”.

$35 includes a student spindle for you to keep and fiber for practice. $20 if you bring your own drop spindle. Space is limited; please email homespunyarnandfiber@gmail.com to reserve your seat. Suitable for ages 14 and up.
